That Plant Factory thing is really beginning to look sexy. This week we are presented with stuff growing on and around objects. This is usually a tough one to crack since tools like XFrog only offer simple pruning and spline-based growth and others like the free Ivy Grower basically only produce clumps of stalks with all sorts of “bad” geometry. This one seems to avoid all the pitfalls nicely. The plants conform reasonably to the objects, the leaves obey tropism and light incidence while facing away from the surface and, which sells this for me, there are no self-intersections between the stalks, branches and twigs. I’m really getting a bit excited here and that is a rare thing these days, at least where software is concerned… ;-)
You’re really growing on me!
